History Comes Alive! - Springfield, Illinois 2021

In summer 2021, History Comes Alive! brought Springfield’s rich past to life with live performances, reenactments, and special programs across historic sites. The Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum hosted powerful presentations highlighting local Black history and culture. Sponsored by the City of Springfield, Visit Springfield, and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, this engaging series offered visitors of all ages a chance to connect with the people and stories that shaped the heart of Illinois.
