There are many ways to support and encourage the efforts of the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum. Members, volunteers, donors and visitors are all valued and appreciated! Below are details about how you, too, may be involved.
Members receive membership cards, certificates of membership and museum communications. Members at the sustaining level and above also receive invitations to previews, grand openings and special V.I.P. events. To become a member fill out the membership form and mail it or bring it by the museum.
Volunteers are needed to staff the museum, conduct tours and help with special events. Just fill out the volunteer form and mail it or bring it by the museum.
Visit our Museum
All are welcome to visit doing our regular hours. Visitors will see exhibits including a gallery of prominent African Americans, history of the Tuskegee Airmen, the Slavery to Freedom display and inspirational artwork and photography.
All donations go to support the operation of the museum, special events and children's programs.
