The Springfield & Central Illinois African American History Museum announces that it will be open on January 21, 2019 to celebrate Martin Luther King Day (MLK Day). Join us from 12 – 4 pm as we celebrate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and legacy. The day will feature story time and crafts for kids 12:30 pm -2:00 pm; MLK Exhibit, and Volunteer and Membership Drive all day. Many people observe MLK Day as a day of service to others.  The African American History Museum would love to have you as a volunteer and/or a museum member. 

The exhibit and program are free but donations are encouraged.
