Did you know that the Springfield, IL form of government, aldermatic, has only existed for 30 years? Do you know what type of government existed 30 years past? Do you know why our form of government changed? Do you know how it was changed? Do you know who was involved in the process that caused the change? Do you know if the change made the difference the plaintiffs wanted it to?

On January 12, 2017, the original plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed on January 12, 1987: Frank McNEIL, William H. Washington, Sr., Rudolph V. Davenport, Howard Veal, Sr., and Archie Lawrence, along with Larry Golden and Donald Cravens, Esq.: will discuss the lawsuit. They well answer these questions and yours as well.

Join us at the Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum, 1440 Monument Ave., Springfield, IL on January 12, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
